Post subject: Configuring Fetish RaidAbilities

I spent many many hours today working on a webpage that will let you configure those three buttons in the raid window of Fetish to do what you want them to do. Check it out here.
It doesn't work in Internet Explorer but does work with Google Chrome and Firefox, both of which are good browsers with small downloads.
All you have to do is pick what you want the buttons to do, or type the name of the CAs/Spells into the boxes and hit the button at the bottom of the page. It will generate the contents of the _Fetish_mainhud_raidabilities.xml file for you. Copy this and overwrite the contents of that file in your FetishNightfall directory where you installed Fetish and you're done. Very customizable.
Let me know what you think. I'll add other classes to the dropdowns if someone tells me what CAs/Spells should be used for the other classes but you can still just type in what you want if your class isn't listed.
I'm very excited about this. Gonna make raiding on all my girls easier. Hmm...I run IE. I guess I'm gonna have to get me a new browser if I wanna use it.

Just FYI - you could always edit those raidabilities - I thought I had lost the ability - I don't know if you remember me asking one day how to do it, and you said I had to edit the file in my UI folder... And I knew I had done it in game once...
Anyway - you can change it in game, but it doesn't save. Right click on the raid window, chose Window Options, and make sure the Frame is visible. When the frame is visible, it has an S in the right hand corner - click on that S, and you can change any of those buttons.
I'll try Check's thing when I get home (on my game machine) and finally fix mine for good.
As if I raid anymore.....

lol. Yep. All that's posted on the page. When I started out, I was planning to just write up instructions on how to edit the file. Once I saw how funky and convoluted the file format was, I decided to make the generator instead. I got it working in IE today also btw.
Once I come up with some good defaults for all the classes and declare it ready for public consumption, Zonx is going to link to it from his customizations page. He even told me he would like a copy of the source code just in case my site ever goes offline. He likes it.
Edit: Just released it to the world on EQ2Interface.com. I imagine in a few days Zonx will get around to linking to it as well. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
Scale of Essence (lvl 80 shard)
Cure Arcane
Call of the Hero
I don't know if you do default class chat texts - but you can't steal my "red rover" - I get more compliments on that!

When I choose a class from the drop down box, are the spells and stuff supposed to changae?

However, in Firefox they do not change when you select a new class. They do change in IE (Can't believe you made me fire that thing up!)

Wow. Never thought I'd code something that works in IE and Chrome but NOT Firefox. lol. I'll take a look and see if I can figure out what it is that Firefox doesn't like. When it worked in IE and Chrome, I didn't bother to test Firefox.

Ok. I made some code changes so now it should work in IE and Firefox. I'm pretty sure it will work in Chrome as well but won't be able to test that til I get home.
Also added the text from Zonx about announcement text: "Due to a limitation in SOE script, chat commands often don't appear the first time they are executed. To ensure each announcement is actually sent at least once, each announcment is attempted twice. This does mean in many cases you'll see both attempts (double annoucements)."
Hopefully thats all the changes I'll need to make to the web version. Now I can get started on the EXE version Zonx has asked me to write that will tie in with the plugin system for the autoupdater version of Fetish that he's working on.

As far as I can tell, I'm done with the EXE version. So far, only AoV and Zonx knows about this. It can be downloaded from here. You copy the Plugins folder into your FetishNightfall directory to install it. To run it, go to the Plugins folder and double click RaidAbilitiesEditor.exe. It will read in your current file and allow you to edit all the settings. Makes it much easier to set the announcement text as well.
Let me know what you think if you decide to try it out.

Just heard back from Zonx. My plugin is part of Fetish v10.8 which is downloadable now. All you need to do is install the new version as usual, go to the plugins folder, and run it. I even got credit on the main Fetish page on EQ2Interface.
