As the concept develops, guidelines will be posted here to answer any questions you may have.
Concept
Limited Progression Characters (we need a catchy name!) is a voluntary, extra way to play a new character within the guild. Anyone within the guild may choose to participate or not. There is no minimum or maximum number of participants. This is not to take the place of our main toons and will be secondary. The purpose of limited progression characters is to slowly and purposfully go through the content of EQ2 at a set pace - together. Level limits will be set periodically, quest lines to complete, etc. The joy is in the journey, not the destination - a journey we hope to take together.
Character Creation
Initially, these characters will all start out in the same area - Timorous Deep. Your character can be any race or class that can start in the Timorous Deep/Gorowyn starting city. This currently includes Sarnaks, Humans, Gnomes, Kerrans, Erudites, Half Elves, and Barbarians. I believe all evil and neutral classes can start in the city.
If you wish to creat a different race/class character you may do so, but we may not be able to join up together until after lvl 20.
If you have an exisiting character, or miss out on the beginning of our journey, you may join us at any time and pick up where we are. It should be easy to get caught up - as this is not a race.
Character Progression
Our goal is to explore the content together - as a group. Therefor, there will be limits on how fast you can level. We'll cap the level and adjust it weekly. We will dedicate one evening each week to these characters so that we can group together and enjoy the process. However, members are always welcome to work on their characters on their own - just don't go past a certain level. We'll also have certain content to be done together. For example - we may post an even to do a heritage quest together - don't work on the quest until the event. If you miss the event, then you can of course work on it on your own.
Tradeskills are not included in the limited progression. Feel free to make any tradeskill class you wish and level at any pace you choose.
You are not limited to playing your limited progression character only on the day we have set aside. However, you may want to turn off your xp (which we all may do anyway to keep content on level) and do content we have chosen not to do as a group.
Suggestions
Your suggestions are always welcomed - we want to do the content that the members want to do. So if you have a "must do" time line, zone, quest, etc - let the group know.
