  <title>Limited Progression Guidelines</title>
  <link>http://www.adventofvalor.com/cms/News/article/sid=14.html</link>
<description>As the concept develops, guidelines will be posted here to answer any questions you may have.

Concept
Limited Progression Characters (we need a catchy name!) is a voluntary, extra way to play a new character within the guild. Anyone within the guild may choose to participate or not. There is no minimum or maximum number of participants. This is not to take the place of our main toons and will be secondary. The purpose of limited progression characters is to slowly and purposfully go through the content of EQ2 at a set pace - together. Level limits will be set periodically, quest lines to complete, etc. The joy is in the journey, not the destination - a journey we hope to take together.

Character Creation
Initially, these characters will all start out in the same area - Timorous Deep. Your character can be any race or class that can start in the Timorous Deep/Gorowyn starting city. This currently includes Sarnaks, Humans, Gnomes, Kerrans, Erudites, Half Elves, and Barbarians. I believe all evil and neutral classes can start in the city.

If you wish to creat a different race/class character you may do so, but we may not be able to join up together until after lvl 20.

If you have an exisiting character, or miss out on the beginning of our journey, you may join us at any time and pick up where we are. It should be easy to get caught up - as this is not a race.

Character Progression
Our goal is to explore the content together - as a group. Therefor, there will be limits on how fast you can level. We&#039;ll cap the level and adjust it weekly. We will dedicate one evening each week to these characters so that we can group together and enjoy the process. However, members are always welcome to work on their characters on their own - just don&#039;t go past a certain level. We&#039;ll also have certain content to be done together. For example - we may post an even to do a heritage quest together - don&#039;t work on the quest until the event. If you miss the event, then you can of course work on it on your own.

Tradeskills are not included in the limited progression. Feel free to make any tradeskill class you wish and level at any pace you choose.

You are not limited to playing your limited progression character only on the day we have set aside. However, you may want to turn off your xp (which we all may do anyway to keep content on level) and do content we have chosen not to do as a group.

Suggestions
Your suggestions are always welcomed - we want to do the content that the members want to do. So if you have a &quot;must do&quot; time line, zone, quest, etc - let the group know.</description>

  <title>AOV General Rules and Ranks</title>
  <link>http://www.adventofvalor.com/cms/News/article/sid=13.html</link>
  <description>General Rules

Rule No. 1 - Thou Shall Not be an Asshat

Please do not be rude, arrogant, irritating, or a general “arsegoblin” to other players. We all pay to play this game, and it goes without saying that when we all try to get along and help each other the experience is much more enjoyable. We all know who the idiots are in a given tier&#039;s chat channels. Do those people reflect well on their guilds? Would you really want to join a guild that found their behavior acceptable? Please understand that I&#039;m not saying you have to roll over when some fool gives you a hard time, I&#039;m just asking that we try to get along with others as best we can. Remember, you wear our name above your head at all times. Act in a manner that will bring honor to our guild.

Rule No.2 – Thou Shall Not Bot.

Advent of Valor does not condone or tolerate botting in any way, shape or form. People that have been proven beyond resonable doubt to be botting will be disposed of with extreme prejudice, after having been reported to SoE customer support with the name of the character and all related alts that are known to the guild.

Rule No.3 – Thou shall have fun

Whether it is grouping, soloing, and/or Raiding do what you enjoy. We are a casual style guild and accept all types of Players.

Ranks and Promotions

Members in this position have proven their devotion to the guild and have shown that they would be a good judge as to who would or would not fit in well with the rest of the guild. They must also log in on a regular basis and generally participate in guild groups / events.
